A high fill power means that the garment will be lighter weight for the same warmth and more compressible if you are going to pack it away in a back pack or similar.

Synthetic Insulation

Synthetic insulation is typically less expensive than down, but also heavier and not as warm for its weight.  Jackets made with synthetic insultation are very bulky and take up a fair amount of room in your luggage so don’t make the best costs for travel.

2. Waterproof or Water Resistant
